We currently have the following volunteer opportunities available at the centre:
Listening Ear Service - This free service provides informal and confidential support, via telephone, to unpaid carers who are suffering bereavement, loss, anxiety, depression and isolation or just need someone to offload and talk to. If you enjoy speaking to people and can spare a few hours a week please get in touch.
Volunteer Therapists - Sefton Carers Centre provides a range of free holistic therapies to unpaid carers to reduce stress, increase wellbeing and thereby supporting carers to care. Volunteers will need to hold a certificate from the body linked to the therapy they practice and hold a minimum of a diploma level 2. Download the full details here and a volunteer application form here. Also, please see our updated Privacy Notice.
Sitting Service Volunteers - Volunteers who can spare a few hours a month to help enable families who care for relatives to take short breaks from their caring role are also needed for our Sitting Service. If you enjoy talking to people, sharing interests, hobbies and experiences and would like to help your local community then this role may be for you.
For more information about any of our current volunteering opportunities please contact Louise Stewart on 0151 288 6080 or via our contact page here.
