Joint statement of support for our customers and clients during COVID-19
Dated 18th March 2020
Sefton Carers Centre and Sefton Advocacy have been working in partnership for a number of years to deliver services to residents in Sefton. As both organisations already have data sharing agreements in place, we have decided to come together in this very difficult time to expand our partnership to enable us to support as many of our vulnerable clients and customers as possible. We need to look to the future and recognise that we may have to work with a reduced staff and volunteer team, at very short notice if people need to isolate themselves. Therefore, to support both our organisations to maintain business continuity the following measures will come into force today:
Staff from both organisations will support clients from either organisation.
Clients and customers can use the contact numbers for both organisations to gain support and advice.
When staff give support to a client who is not from their own organisation they will email the organisation on either:
Webpages and social media will promote both organisation contact details and information/messages.
Staff from both organisations will be given an up to date staff contact lists.
All staff will be flexible in their job roles to support all our clients whilst adhering to their organisations policies and keeping themselves safe.
Sefton Carers Centre and Sefton Advocacy will take all reasonable precautions to ensure that illness and infection does not spread in the workplace between employees, volunteers, clients and the public. Many of the people we support are vulnerable and have their own health conditions or care for someone with a health condition, we will work together for as long as required to support all our customers and clients.
We will review this agreement on a weekly basis during the current pandemic and amend in line with published guidance.
